About Us
How we started
Trauma in Mind was set up by Kristie and Lian after spending almost 20 years working across residential services, health and social care. Having witnessed the impact of childhood adversity and poor quality care, they started with a strong vision, determined to provide quality care through training, education and support.
Kristie Dimaro
After a long career in residential services, Kristie branched out to work for an international training company specialising in the safe management of disruptive behaviour. Kristie was subsequently a successful Regional Operations Manager and Responsible Individual for an ambitious group of children's homes when she decided to set up TiM and work as a children's home consultant
Dr Lian Dimaro
Lian originally training as a Clinical Psychologist with a wealth of experience working with some of the most vulnerable groups in society, treating significant mental health problems and managing problem behaviour. Lian subsequently went on to complete her medical degree and currently works in the NHS.
